Trying again
Hey all.
I realized that at this point in my life, I just don’t have the bandwidth to write a new newsletter every week.
But I don’t want to leave you hanging.
Instead of trying to be clever or verbose on a weekly basis, I’m just going to share the stuff that I’m digging lately along with a comment or two.
Some weeks it might be a dozen links, another week it might be two.
The main thing I need from you is to tell me what’s working and what isn’t.
With that, here’s the first round of this new format…
Toby is a great follow on Twitter if you’re not already. I’ve been trying to learn more about the science of building a community and his posts have been insightful.
The examples and metaphors that he uses to explain his strategy make it really sticky and helpful. He not only makes some good points but he does it in an effective way.
I have been reflecting on similar thought when I saw this tweet from Kaleigh. All consumers relate better to stories and when you can combine that with actual customer stories, you have a recipe for very sticky and compelling marketing.
As someone who started a podcast this year, I’m always a sucker for these very tactical posts. Kristen doesn’t disappoint! This is a great thread if you run a podcast as well.
That’s all I got this week. Let me know what you think and how I can improve!
Till next time,
David
